Upon restoration of the monarchy in England, Major-General William Goffe, who had condemned Charles I to death, and his father-in-law Edward Whalley were fugitives. The unpardonable duo escaped to Boston in July of 1660. Our guest lecturer tells the exciting story of their secret travels throughout New England evading arrest by the King's commissioners. Come find out if they ever got caught! The public is welcome to attend.
