HEBRON- The next meeting of Senior Friends of Hebron, Inc., will feature a discussion on Healthy Snacks. All attendees are asked to bring their favorite snack and briefly state what makes it healthy. The Executive Board will lead a discussion on healthy eating and will provide handouts. The snacks will serve as the refreshments for the meeting and beverages will be provided. The meeting will be held on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Church Hall on Rt 85, Hebron. All residents of Hebron who are over 60 years young may attend and join at the meeting for just $5 per person for one year. A Bulletin Board is displayed with Medicare Updates and articles of interest. Most events are free to members; fundraising woodcraft items are member-discounted. The new fund-raiser of Jewelry will be showcased and promoted at the meeting and at the group's public events in September. Senior Friends of Hebron is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide socialization, education, and culturalization for the senior population of Hebron. The organization is independent of any Town funding or government; it operates solely on volunteer efforts and is self-governing. Donations have been made by the organization to groups who support seniors, including the local senior center; however, the Senior Friends is a separate entity.
