Breakfast speaker series

EAST HARTFORD - On Sept. 26, the East Hartford Chamber of Commerce and AT&T will hold their third installment of the 2013 AT&T Breakfast Speaker Series. The speaker will be Michael E. Hyde, the vice president for External Affairs and Strategic Partnerships at the Jackson Laboratory. Hyde’s presentation will focus on Jackson Laboratory’s investment and future in Connecticut. JAX Genomic Medicine is currently being built on a 17-acre site on the campus of the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington. The 189,000-square-foot facility will open in the fall of 2014. Within 10 years, it will house 300 biomedical researchers, technicians and support staff in state-of-the-art computing facilities and laboratories.
