Little League seeking candidates

SUFFIELD - Suffield Little League is seeking candidates for its Board of Directors for the 2013-2014 season. Candidates should submit their names to League secretary Michael Marmo at firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday, Sept. 18. A general membership meeting will take place Thursday, Sept. 26, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Suffield Middle School in the cafeteria. All parents of Suffield Little League players, as well as managers and coaches, are invited to attend to participate in our post-season wrap up which starts at 6 p.m. Elections for the Board of Directors will be held at 7 p.m. Parents/guardians of players, managers, coaches, umpires, board members and other volunteers from this season are eligible to vote at this general membership meeting. The following board positions are open for election: president; past president; player agent (baseball); vice president (softball); equipment manager; food booth coordinator; treasurer; and fund-raising coordinator. The following positions will be vacant in September since the current directors are not seeking re-election: player agent (baseball); vice president (softball); equipment manager; food booth coordinator; treasurer; and fund-raising coordinator.
