Small business assistance programs
Manchester - posted Sep, 05 2013
MANCHESTER - A statewide schedule of presentations will be offered to small business people, introducing them to the state’s small business assistance programs including the highly successful Small Business Express (EXP), Subsidized Training and Employment (Step-UP) and Job Expansion Tax Credit (JET) programs. The Connecticut Departments of Economic and Community Development and Department of Labor have tools to help small businesses achieve their goals. They are coming to communities to make it a little easier for local business people to learn about programs, and to provide an opportunity to meet one-on-one with members of the economic development staff, who will be available to answer any questions they might have. The following dates are currently scheduled: Sept. 13, at 9 a.m., at Manchester Community College in Manchester. Additional dates will be announced soon on www.decd.org in coming weeks. These forums are co-sponsored by the Connecticut Business and Industry Association and conducted in partnership with local chambers of commerce. Space is limited. To register, email your first and last name, phone number, company name and address, along with which event you are signing up for, to SmallBusinessExpressEvent@ct.gov. For more event information, contact Michele Peters of DECD at 860.270.8052. For more about DECD and its many assistance programs, visit www.decd.org.
