Basic music theory and music history will be incorporated into each lesson. The children’s creativity will be tapped as the class collaborates on writing an original song. At the end of the session, there will be a performance for families and friends to enjoy. The classes will be taught by Rosemary Toth. Toth has an associate’s degree in music and has played and composed music since she was a young girl. She has taught piano, guitar and voice for the past 13, and has played and performed with several local bands and duos, writing and recording a variety of folk, rock, classical and contemporary songs. Her love of music and ability to inspire and encourage young people will be apparent to all who take part in what promises to be a most exciting and enjoyable class.
