Windsor - posted Sep, 19 2013

WINDSOR - Join the staff of Northwest Park on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, to explore the Farmington River and observe the beautiful changing foliage that envelops the Rainbow Reservoir. The pace offers opportunities to learn new canoeing skills, while leaving time to relax and make new friends. You and your family will spend valuable time together that is often lost in the hectic pace of everyday living. No canoeing experience is necessary; there will not be any available staff in your canoe. The staff will be available before and during canoeing to observe and assist you with your paddling abilities. Canoes and life jackets will be provided. Please wear boots or other appropriate hiking shoes, as the walk down to the launching area may be muddy. Registration is required. Cost is $8 per person for Windsor residents; $16 for non-resident. This adventure is for adults and children ages 6 and older. Northwest Park is located at 145 Lang Road, Windsor. Visit www.townofwindsorct.com or call 860-285-1886 for more information or to register. Activity Number 2252.190.
