Historic Preservation talk at the library

ASHFORD - A special program, Historic Preservation, co-sponsored by the Ashford Historical Society and Babcock Library will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, from noon to 1:30 p.m., at Knowlton Memorial Hall in Ashford. Susan M. Bowley, Ph.D., former Ashford resident and expert in the field of historical preservation, will present a special program on the applications of 3D laser scanning and digital reconstruction to historical preservation and restoration of artifacts. She will include case studies from Moffett Field Historical Society Aircraft Preservation and Restoration; Ashford Historical Society Gravestone Preservation and Restoration; and Archaeological Skulls.
