PUTNAM- The Silver Circle Gallery in Putnam is proud to announce the upcoming exhibit Unzipped: A Selection of Recent Works by Erik Sandberg-Diment featuring paintings by the local artist. The exhibit will be on display Oct. 4 – Nov. 10. There will be an artist's reception Friday, Oct. 4 from 6-8 p.m. Erik Sandberg-Diment is a Connecticut-based artist who paints from a place of free flowing emotion. He studied under James Gwynne at The College of Wooster in Ohio in the late 1960s. Shortly after, he stopped painting to support his family and became a writer and columnist for The New York Times as well as producing numerous books and writing countless articles for other magazines. In 2010, he showcased his return to painting with a veritable flood of new works unveiled in his first solo show at the Silver Circle Gallery. "Unzipped" will display work created over the past year which delves into the artist's thoughts with expressive movement, intense pigment, and luminous color to convey pure emotion.
