Take a walking tour

East Hampton - posted Sep, 30 2013

EAST HAMPTON- The Chatham Historical Society will host a walking tour of the Hog Hill Cemetery on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 10 a.m. (note correct time) as part of its “Explore East Hampton” monthly series of walks. The East Hampton Parks and Recreation will sponsor the event. Come for a walk back in time and learn about the people who lived in the area and their many achievements. The walk will be led by Kevin J. Tulimieri who is a historian and researcher at Nathan Liverant and Son Antiques in Colchester. Tulimieri and members of the Chatham Historical Society will share many stories about the people who "reside" there. The Walking Tour offers a wonderful and unique opportunity for new residents to learn about the history of East Hampton and for life-long residents to share their recollections and stories with others. Adults and children are welcome to join in what promises to be an afternoon of making local history come alive. The tour will take approximately 1 hour. Heavy rain will cancel the walk. For further information about upcoming walks or the Chatham Historical Society, contact Marty Podskoch, coordinator of the “Explore East Hampton” walks at 860-267-2442, podskoch@comcast.net, or visit http://www.easthamptonrec.com/info/activities/program_details.aspx?Progr... or http://www.chathamhistoricalsocietyct.org/
