ENFIELD - The Enfield Public Library will hold a Flu Clinic, sponsored by Home and Community Health Services, Inc., on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to noon. To receive the flu vaccination, you must be 18 years or older. Anyone who is currently receiving radiation, chemotherapy, immunosuppressive therapy or that has been treated for Hodgkin’s disease, must present a physician’s note in order to be immunized. Accepted insurance includes: Medicare Part B, Connecticare, HealthNet, Aetna, Wellcare, Fallon Community and Harvard Pilgrim Health Plans and Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield (Anthem’s J Plan is excluded). If the flu vaccine is not covered by your insurance company, you will be billed privately. You will be responsible for any co-pay. If paying privately, the fee is $35, payable by cash or check. Please pick up an informative Influenza Vaccine 2013-2014 brochure, and an Immunization Consent form at the circulation desk.
