MANCHESTER - Bring your sandwich or salad (we supply the coffee or tea) and join us for a stimulating discussion on topics in the recently published book, "The Observant Life: The Wisdom of Conservative Judaism for Contemporary Jews."  In October, discussions will be the chapter on the Jewish view(s) on capital punishment. Subsequent topics will be chosen by participants. Rabbi Plavin will moderate the discussions and serve as a resource. Six sessions will be held Oct. 17, Nov. 21, Dec. 19, Jan. 16, Feb. 20 and Mar. 20, from noon to 1:15 p.m. Registration for all six sessions is $10 per person. To order a copy of the book, add $35.
