Night of 1,001 Pumpkins
Windsor - posted Oct, 14 2013
WINDSOR- "Night of 1001 Pumpkins" will be held on Friday, Oct. 25, from 6-8 p.m. at the L. P. Wilson Center, 599 Matianuck Ave. in Windsor. Enjoy fall crafts, fun games, bounce house, food, puppets, music, face painting, and lots of fun for all ages at this family harvest event. Wander through the haunted gym for frighteningly good fun. There are separate areas of activities for younger children so there is plenty to do even if you don’t want to experience the fright fun. Bring a carved pumpkin for our ‘wall of pumpkins’ or try your hand at carving one at the event. Prizes for creativity! Pumpkins will be judged by age group. This event is produced by the youth of the Windsor Youth Services Bureau as their kick-off celebration to Red Ribbon Week, which is the national drug prevention awareness week. Say “BOO” to drugs. Admission is $3 per person or $8 per family. Food items are available for sale in our “festival café” and there are complimentary goody bags for children. For more information, please call the Windsor Youth Services Bureau, 860-285-1990. Sponsored by the Windsor Youth Commission through a grant by the Capital Area Substance Abuse Council.
