NORWICH- The William W. Backus Hospital will host “Breathe Well, Live Well,” an asthma education series on Mondays, Nov. 4 and 11, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Backus Outpatient Care Center at 111 Salem Turnpike in Norwich. The classes will be taught by a certified respiratory therapist and certified asthma educator. There is a $25 fee for the program, which will be fully refunded if both sessions are attended. A curriculum by the American Lung Association, “Breathe Well, Live Well” teaches participants self-management skills to keep their asthma under control, have fewer symptoms and gain a better quality of life.
