NORWICH- Oct. 20-26 is National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week. The City of Norwich Commuity Development Office has zero-percent interest-deferred loan programs for owner-occupied and investor homes with occupants or tenants that meet HUD 2013 Income Limits within the city of Norwich. Childhood lead poisoning is considered to be the most preventable environmental disease among young children. Children under the age of 6 are the most at risk, especially if the home was built before 1978. For more information on the program, contact the Community Development office at 860-823-3770 or visit www.norwichct.org
