CANTERBURY- Take a Walktober stroll in the village center, “Colorful Canterbury,” sponsored by the Canterbury Historical Society, on Saturday, Oct. 26. at 1 p.m. Nationally-recognized paint expert Sally Zimmerman of Historic New England will share how to help a historic home look its best with period color. See firsthand how color and architectural style come together to create character and curb appeal in Canterbury, named Connecticut's 2012 “Best Old House Neighborhood” by This Old House magazine. This free walk will last about 90 minutes. Rain or shine. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Meet at the Green District Schoolhouse on Library Road (behind the First Congregational Church—6 South Canterbury Road), Canterbury, Connecticut. You may park in the church parking lot.
