Afternoon of storytelling

REGION- The Pequot Museum is pleased to welcome well-known storyteller and author Joseph Bruchac back to the Museum for an afternoon of storytelling on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 1-2:30 pm. Bruchac’s books and stories reflect his Abenaki roots and lifelong interest in American Indian histories and cultures. Most of his books are based on Native traditional teachings and many of the stories are ones learned from the elders. His enthusiastic storytelling is mesmerizing – attendees won’t forget about Rabbit’s wish for snow or Azban the raccoon. Trudie Lamb Richmond (Schaghticoke) and Candyce Testa (Pequot) join him in making Native stories come alive before listener’s eyes and ears. He is bringing books to sell and will autograph them for purchasers. This event is free with Museum admission and free to Museum members.
