MARLBOROUGH- On Monday, Nov. 4, the AHM Drug and Violence Prevention Task Force will be hosting a major parent forum on internet safety. The presentation will be held at Marlborough Elementary School at 7 p.m. The speaker will be Mr. Scott Driscoll from Internet Safety Concepts. He is an engaging and dynamic speaker who has taught thousands of parents and children about internet/technology safety. He takes a proactive and preventive stance while educating others through personal experiences and firsthand knowledge. Topics will include texting, social networking, instant messaging, chat rooms, peer to peer software, cyber bullying, and much more. The goals are to inform parents so that we can guide students to appropriate use, prevent inappropriate incidents, and to provide resources regarding specific concerns about internet use. This forum is open to residents of Hebron, Andover, Marlborough and Columbia. Please be advised that children will not be allowed to attend. The presentation is free and pre-registration is not required.
