GLASTONBURY - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. William Raveis Charitable Fund, Inc., Glastonbury is holding a night of charity on Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Rooftop 120 Restaurant, 120 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Rooftop 120 has offered to donate 10 percent of each dinner and bar/appetizer bill to help in the continued support of this charitable fund. There will be $5 raffle tickets available for purchase and a chance to win some great prizes. The drawing for this raffle will be held on Dec. 9, at the company headquarters in Shelton. In addition to the raffle, local businesses have been very generous and have donated items that will be raffled off at the end of the night’s event. Get a start on your holiday shopping and make a donation to help cure cancer at the same time. The William Raveis Breast Cancer Research Fund and the William Raveis Charitable Fund have raised over $1.6 million dollars since 2004. These two fund are used for cancer research support, as well as the ACS Patient Navigator Program at the UCONN Health Center in Farmington, and the Patient Navigator Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Mass. Please come to help fight the fight against cancer. While you enjoy your evening at Rooftop 120, you will be helping to support a program which makes a difference to so many individuals.
