Clubs and wrap-around child care

Colchester - posted Oct, 29 2013

COLCHESTER - Jack Jackter Intermediate School will continue teaming with the Colchester Park and Recreation Department to offer a wrap-around child care program following after-school clubs for the upcoming fall/winter session. Jack Jackter Intermediate School offers four six-week sessions of after school clubs. These clubs offer the opportunity for all third, fourth and fifth-grade students to develop and pursue a variety of interests. Additionally, it is our hope that students have the opportunity to enhance their social and intellectual development while participating in any of the clubs offered. There are many activities to choose from which challenge critical thinking, along with diverse athletic and artistic abilities. After-school clubs will continue to run from 3:15 until 4:15 p.m., on Mondays and Thursdays. The next session will run from Nov. 18 through Jan. 16. Parents will also be given the option of signing their child up for additional child care services with the Colchester Park and Recreation, following after-school clubs from 4:30 until 6 p.m. A homework, yoga and ceramics session will be offered during the first after school club session. If you or someone you know, has a special interest or talent that you would be willing to share with our students, please consider advising a club.
