Children's programs at the library

SOUTH WINDSOR - The following programs will be held at South Windsor Public Library. For more information, please call 860-644-5404. Family Stories: This half-hour of stories is for children ages 3 and up with at least one adult member of the family. This program will be held on Nov. 9, 16, 23 and 30. No registration is required. Interactive Wizard of Oz: An interactive Wizard of Oz will be held on Nov. 16. Every participant will be given a bag of props and words to the songs. You are encouraged to participate as the movie plays. Children under the age of six must be accompanied by an adult. Please register at the library. Cupcake Wars: Who is the best cupcake decorator? Register for this fun competition on Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. The library provides all the supplies. Spelling Bee Practice: This program is for children in grades three through eight. You must register by Nov. 9 to participate in the Spelling Bee practice sessions on Nov. 14 and Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. At the program, you will practice spelling words and work on vocabulary. Allan's Angels: the dogs will be at the library on Nov. 23 at 2 p.m., to hear stories. Children who can read can sign up for a 10-15 minute slot to read to trained therapy dogs. Please register at the South Windsor Public Library. Lego Club: This club is for children ages 5 and up. No pre-registration required. The club will meet on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 2pm. Lego bricks will be provided. Whatever you create is put on display in the library until the next meeting. This club is not affiliated with or sponsored by Lego. Pokemon Club: If you are a Pokemon trainer, this club's for you. The next meeting will be Thursday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. Bring your cards for trading or battling other trainers. No registration is necessary; all ages are welcome.
