Senior line dance class

THOMPSON– Thompson Recreation is pleased to present an easy-going Line Dance Program for senior citizens. Both beginner and advanced classes are open. Enjoy music and movement with this weekly get-together. Move at your own pace, socialize and get a nice aerobic workout. Line dancing also improves balance and enhances memory. No experience is necessary. No partner necessary. Seniors will learn dances such as Waltz Across Texas, Line Polka, Jamaican Triple-Step, Elvira, Cha-cha, 4-Beats and more. Classes are held on Wednesday mornings for eight weeks, Nov. 20, – Jan. 29, 2014. Beginners dance from 10 – 10:45 a.m.and Intermediate/Advanced dance from 10:45 -11:30 a.m. Classes take place in the Louis P. Faucher Community Room, 934 Riverside Drive, North Grosvenordale. The instructor is Jeanne Methot. Pre-registration is required. Early Bird registration price through Nov. 13 is just $25 for Thompson residents over age 60 and $31 for non-residents over age 60.
