Region - posted Nov, 06 2013
REGION - This year's Artists' Open Studios will be held on Nov. 29 and 30, Dec. 1, 7 and 8 , from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., each day. The Artists' Open Studios tour is a free, self-guided art adventure. Whether you are an avid collector, just curious about fine art, or an emerging artist, this is an incredible opportunity for you to meet northeastern Connecticut's painters, sculptors, fiber artists, photographers, potters, jewelers, glass artists, metal smiths, wood-turners and other fine artists. While many of us experience fine art by visiting art galleries and museums, we rarely have the chance to meet the artists whose work we admire, and be welcomed into spaces where they nourish their creativity and produce their art. And, it give artists the opportunity to connect with you and to share their passion and expertise. Towns in which artist's open their studios in northeastern Connecticut include: Ashford, Brooklyn, Canterbury, Chaplin, Columbia, Coventry, Danielson, Dayville, Eastford, Ellington, Hampton, Lebanon, Mansfield/Storrs, Pomfret, Putnam, Thompson, Tolland, Willimantic, Willington, Windham and Woodstock. For more information on each artist on the open studio tour, please visit aosct.org.
