Coventry - posted Nov, 08 2013

COVENTRY- Coventry Public Schools assumes the responsibility for the location, identification and referral of all children requiring special education and/or related services from birth through age 21, including children who are enrolled in private preschool programs. As part of our Child Find procedures, the Coventry Board of Education, through the Coventry Early Intervention Services (CEIS), is offering a free pre-school screening for all Coventry children ages three and four years. The screening will be held at the North Coventry Fire Association, 3427 Main St., Coventry (across from Dimitri’s) on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 3 – 7 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Screens in areas of vision, hearing, speech, language, cognitive and motor development are provided as an opportunity for parents to learn more about their child’s development. Also, parents will have the opportunity to receive information which will assist in fostering their child’s growth. The screening will take about 45 minutes. Please call 860-742-4530 to schedule your appointment.
