Storrs - posted Nov, 08 2013

STORRS- The University of Connecticut is offering a free ongoing series of talks to showcase the creativity and innovative ideas of some of the University's top faculty. To share the knowledge, wisdom, and expertise of our faculty with UConn alumni, Connecticut residents, and our neighbors across the globe, presentations are filmed and posted on http://uconntalks.uconn.edu/. On Nov. 20, UConn Talks will feature Dr. Ronald L. Mallet, Professor of Physics, and author of 'Time Traveler: A Scientist's Personal Mission to Make Time Travel a Reality'; Dr. Joseph S. Renzulli, Director of UConn's National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented and Board of Trustees Distinguished Professor of Educational Psychology at the Neag School of Education; and Dr. Robert Thorson, Professor of Geology, and author of 'Walden's Shore: Henry David Thoreau and 19th Century Science.' UConn Talks will begin at noon and include a question and answer period after each speaker. Held in Von der Mehden Recital Hall on the Storrs campus, UConn Talks is open to the general public, as well as to the UConn community.
