TOLLAND- The Friends of the Tolland Public Library will be participating in The Dictionary Project for the first time this November. Each of Tolland's 191 third grade students will be receiving their own personal dictionary for use at school and home. As stated by The Dictionary Project, "Educators see third grade as the dividing line between learning to read and reading to learn, so we encourage our sponsors to give dictionaries each year to children in the third grade." The Friends of the Tolland Public Library are pleased to offer support in the education of Tolland's children and assist them in becoming successful, lifelong readers.
