COLCHESTER- On Saturday, Dec. 7, Bacon Academy will host the second annual “Sleigh Bells Arts & Crafts Fair.” This year the fair has grown to over 70 vendors including additional Bacon Academy clubs and class organizations. Represented by Bacon are the Graphic Technology classes which are primarily responsible for organization of the event including preliminarily set-up the night before, registration, tea-cup raffle and clean-up at the end of the event as well as all advertising and press releases. The Fashion & Clothing classes will be returning to the event to sell beautifully handmade items, while the GSA will be holding a bake sale and selling hot beverages. The Class of 2014 will be selling bags of gourmet popcorn; the Bacon Bake Shop will be selling holiday cookies and rounding out the venue, the culinary department will be providing a hot lunch for purchase. The event boasts a new website designed and maintained by Technology teacher Jo-Ann Campbell who is co-creator of the event. This year’s vendors are diversified from last year’s, “35 vendors are not returning from last year due to conflicts in schedules, but 45 new vendors have joined the ranks.
