ENFIELD- Visit the Enfield Public Library on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. for, “Vanished Downtown Hartford,” presented by author and historian, Daniel Sterner. HistorianDaniel Sterner will recall the ‘lost face’ of downtown Hartford in a nostalgic exploration of Hartford’s structural evolution. A lifelong resident of Connecticut, Sterner majored in History at Wesleyan University. He has been a guide at the Mark Twain House, the Harriet Beecher Stowe House, and the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum. Sterner has also won awards for his website,, and his previous book, "A Guide to Historic Hartford, Connecticut." He will have books on hand for sale and signing.
