An informational session at Connecticut IB Academy

EAST HARTFORD - The Connecticut IB Academy, an interdistrict magnet high school located in East Hartford, will be holding the first of three information sessions on Tuesday, Dec. 3. These sessions are for eighth-grade students and their parents who wish to learn more about the Academy’s rigorous college preparation program. The Connecticut IB Academy offers the international baccalaureate diploma program, a course of study that is recognized worldwide as one of the most challenging high school programs available. Students who are in the diploma program are well-prepared for college, and have demonstrated significantly higher college GPAs and graduation rates. Attendance at the information session is strongly recommended for both interested students and their parents. All sessions are held in the lecture hall and begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. The next two sessions will be held on: Wednesday, Jan. 15 and Monday, Feb. 10.
