Community conversion on educaiton

VOLUNTOWN- Parents, Interested Citizens, and JHS/HS Students are invited to participate in the Voluntown Board of Education’s “Community Conversations about Education” on Monday, Dec. 2, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Voluntown Elementary School Gymnasium A free light dinner and childcare, if needed, will be provided. Door Prize drawings ($25, $50, or $100 gift cards) will take place at the end of the program and will be presented to three participants still in attendance. No more than 100 people can be accommodated. Reservations will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Please RSVP by contacting Joyce Melgey at 860 376-9167 or email by Monday, Nov. 25. The topic will be: “Coordinating Our Efforts in Voluntown to Educate and Support Our Youth Now and in the Future” Please join Voluntown parents, students, faculty, staff, community leaders, elected officials, clergy, Youth Service Bureau members, senior citizens, and PTO representatives in this discussion. This event is made possible by a grant from the Graustein Memorial Fund and is sponsored by the Voluntown Board of Education.
