Grant provides HoverCams

TOLLAND - The Tolland Education Foundation (TEF) granted teacher Mary Nichols $558 for two HoverCam document cameras for eighth grade language arts classrooms. The cameras are an enrichment tool used with the Smart Boards and facilitate learning in the classroom. They allow students and teachers to show and view models, supplementary materials, enrichment pieces and personal work to make the most of teachable moments, as well as for use in structured lessons. Since 2004, TEF has provided Tolland’s schools with over $170,000 in grants and in-kind donations.
