Town to recognize acts of kindness

EAST HARTFORD - The East Hartford Department of Youth Services, with support from Mayor Marcia A. Leclerc and the East Hartford Police Department, would like to recognize members of the East Hartford community who offer One Act of Kindness to one another. By exhibiting such an act, the recipient will be recommended for membership in the Charter OAK Club (OAK standing for One Act of Kindness). The recipients of the award will be issued a Charter OAK Club membership t-shirt and a certificate of recognition. The recipients will be recognized at a monthly Town Council meeting by the mayor and representatives of Youth Services and the East Hartford Police Department. All eligible recipients must be age 12 or older. Nominate your brother, your friend, your neighbor, a teacher, a coach, a business owner, etc. Nomination forms will be available on the town website at www.easthartfordct.gov, or call Youth Services at 860-291-7182 with your nomination.
