Drug threats: what every parent must know

VERNON - Wayne Kowal, the training program coordinator for the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, the state police, and the statewide Narcotics Task Force will present a training on Connecticut Drug Threats: What Every Parent and Provider Must Know, on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., in the auditorium at Vernon Center Middle School, 777 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon. The training is for adults only and topics will include Connecticut drug threats, specific drug information, the most current drug trends, description and identification, signs of manufacturing, signs of drug use and future trends. This is a free event. This is a free event but non-perishable food items for people and pets will be accepted and donated to the local soup kitchen and food pantry.
