Hearth cooking class

LISBON- Step back in time to the early 1800s for hands on experience cooking over the open hearth in the John Bishop House Museum, Lisbon. With the guidance and instruction from the Society’s teaching staff, students will prepare dinner from traditional recipes using period cooking utensils and methods and then share the fruit of your labors at a candlelit table in front of the fireplace. Both evening and afternoon classes are available. Lisbon Historical Society, Hearth Cooking Class at the John Bishop House, Route 169, Lisbon. Class Dates: Evening class: Saturday, Feb. 8, snow date March 8, 5:30-10:30 p.m.; Afternoon class: Saturday, Feb. 15, snow date March 15, 1:30-6:30 p.m. Interactive fundraiser donation is $55. We reserve the right to cancel due to low enrollment or to postpone for bad weather.
