Enthusiasm for snow and reading

MANCHESTER - Assumption School in Manchester will share enthusiasm for snow and reading with the local community during January. Janet Lawler, author of "Snowzilla," will be the featured author at the first, in a series of three, author events to be held at Assumption School’s main campus, 27 South Adams St. The first event will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. Lawler, critically acclaimed author of ten children’s books, will present, The Life Cycle of a Picture Book, based on, "Snowzilla." The presentation is designed for students in kindergarten through third grade, but because of the topic older students may also enjoy Lawler’s presentation. Following the program, there will be a book signing; refreshments will be served and guests will have the opportunity for a brief tour of Assumption School. Space is limited. Online pre-registration at www.assumptionschoolct.com is recommended but not required.
