Holiday bonfire

THOMPSON- Thompson Recreation, Community Fire Department and the Thompson Public Works Department are sponsoring Thompson’s eighth annual Holiday Bonfire and Fuel for Fire on Saturday, Jan. 18. (Inclement weather date: Jan. 19) Join with your community to enjoy the warmth & light of this bonfire and make a wish for the New Year. This program has free admission and is open to the public. The night begins with a concert with Bob Bloom “Drumming About You” at the L.P Faucher Community Room at the Library/Community Center at 5:30 p.m.! The Bonfire will follow from 6:30 - 8 p.m. with: Judi Jones Hoop Dancing with a ring of fire. Hot chocolate and baked goods will be available available. WINY will provide musical entertainment! Bring marshmallows to toast by the fire! Bring your skates for skating on the pond! Donations are welcome to support TEEG’s private fuel fund. The bonfire is held at Phelps Pond, Main Street, No. Grosvenordale (Park in the Library lot and follow the signs.) The Community Center/Library is at 934 Riverside Drive in North Grosvenordale.
