NORWICH- Three River Community College's Environmental Issues Seminar will host many interesting speakers this coming winter and spring semester, on Wednesdays from Jan. 29 through May 14, from 6-7:45 p.m., in Room C101. All the area high schools are invited, as well as the community. High school students may want to take this class for credit if their guidance counselor/guardian allows them to. They can also come for free to hear whichever speaker they are interested in. The first seminar is Jan. 29, featuring Dr. Gerry Berkowicz, professor of plant sciences at UConn; Feb. 5 is Ralph Lewis, professor of geology, UConn, "The Geological Landscape of Connecticut;" and on Feb. 12, Dr. John Lane, U.S. Geological Survey, "Water Resources in the Developing World."
