Regional School Choice fair

MANCHESTER - Want to explore the many great opportunities for your child’s education within the Greater Hartford region? Want to speak with staff and families that work or attend a magnet school and the Hartford Region Open Choice Program? Bring the family to the third of five Regional School Choice Fairs on Saturday, Jan. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon at Great Path Academy at Manchester Community College, 60 Bidwell St., Manchester. Snow date is Saturday, Jan. 18, from 9 a.m. to noon. The Regional School Choice Office (RSCO) school fairs feature booths and information about the wide array of programming options available to Hartford and suburban students ages preschool to grade 12. Parents, grandparents, guardians and students can speak with helpful staff from RSCO and its partners, the Capitol Region Education Council, Hartford public schools' Host Magnet Program, Hartford Region Open Choice districts, Goodwin College, the Connecticut technical high school system, Suffield’s Regional Agriscience Center, Bloomfield public schools and East Hartford public schools. At the fair, families will also have the option of submitting an online application for the 2014-2015 RSCO lottery. The 2014-2015 lottery application period closes on Friday, Feb. 28. Snow date is Friday, Jan. 31 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
