Play and Learn groups

COLCHESTER- C3 (the Collaborative for Colchester’s Children) is pleased to offer 3 new play and learn groups. Come join in for one or all three. Sign and Play- Classes are designed for children of all abilities ages birth through 3 years to take with their parent, guardian or caregiver to learn American Sign Language (ASL) through songs, games, activities, and most importantly, encouragement. The Sign and Play curriculum is based on the award winning Baby Signing Time® series. Held in Room F-3 in Colchester Elementary School. Session dates below. Mondays 9:30-10:30 a.m., ending March 10. (No class on Jan. 20 or Feb. 17). Joyful Noises- Each session begins with free play providing an opportunity for play and socialization. Caregivers then join their child and Miss Joy in a structured half hour (or so) of fun while exploring music through song, instrument play, and musical games. The class is designed for children ages 18 months to 5 years with a caregiver and will be held for eight weeks, Thursdays, 9:30-10:30 a.m., ending March 13. Held in Room F-3 in Colchester Elementary School. Be Kind And Unwind - A Mamoga KalmKids Yoga program, is inspired by 10 Mindful Minutes and MindUp curriculum - and are for all ages. This is a time for children age birth through five to enjoy a story and gentle movement with guided relaxation alongside caregiver. Held at Cragin Memorial Library in Norton Rm. A. Mondays: 6 – 6:45 p.m., (no class on Jan. 20), ending Feb. 10. Fridays 10:15- 11 a.m., ending Feb. 14. All classes are free. Registration required as space is limited.
