GLASTONBURY - The following are Senior Center movies for the month of January. The Riverfront Community Center is located at 300 Welles St., Glastonbury. For more information, call 860-652-7655. For the movie programs, popcorn and an iced beverage will be available. There is no charge for these programs and no reservations are needed. If you wish to recommend a movie, please complete a suggestion form in the Senior Center office. Saturday Matinees Movies start promptly at noon. Jan. 11 - “From Russia with Love.” James Bond is back and so are the bullets, beauties and bad guys. You'll be shaken and stirred by Sean Connery's second outing as 007, which finds him paying the price for his previous adventure when SPECTRE seeks revenge for Dr. No's death. Rated PG. Stars Sean Connery and Daniela Bianchi. Action/Suspense. 118 minutes. Jan. 18 - “Invictus.” This drama, based on real-life events, tells the story of what happened after the end of apartheid when newly elected President Nelson Mandela used the 1995 World Cup rugby matches to unite his people in South Africa. Rated PG- 13. Stars Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon. Drama/inspiring. 133 minutes. Jan. 25 - “Hitchcock.” Iconic filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock struggles with his marriage, the censors and the financiers of his 1960 film “Psycho” in this biopic. Driven to prove he still has an edge, Hitchcock crafts what would become one of the greatest thrillers of all time. Rated PG-13. Stars Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren. Drama. 98 minutes.
