EAST HARTFORD - The East Hartford Fine Arts Commission begins its eighth annual Saturday Night Cinema series on Jan. 18 in the auditorium of the East Hartford Community Cultural Center, 50 Chapman Place, at 7 p.m. The series will include four films, one each on the third Saturday of the month, from January through April. All screenings are free. The first film on Jan. 18’s film will be, "Closed Circuit," (2013) starring Eric Bana and Rebecca Hall. This film is Rated R and runs 96 minutes. Former lovers encounter danger when they are assigned to the same defense team in a terrorism trial. Jim Broadbent and Ciarán Hinds co-star in this thriller written by Steven Knight. The second film, shown on Saturday, Feb. 15, will be, "The Pirogue from Senegal" (2012); March 15’s film will be "Lebanon’s Where Do We Go Now?"
