SOUTH WINDSOR - On Sunday, Jan. 26, South Windsor Cultural Arts is presenting Australian violinist Sarita Kwok and pianist Wei-Yi Yang in concert. Kwok serves on the faculty of Yale University’s Department of Music and has performed worldwide as a recitalist, orchestral soloist and chamber musician, receiving prizes in international competitions in Germany, New Zealand and Poland. Yang has performed internationally as a soloist and recording artist on the stages of Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center and major venues across the US, Asia, Europe and Australia. Yang joined the faculty of the Yale School of Music in 2005. The program will include works by Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Ravel and Janáček. The concert is at 2 p.m., at Wood Memorial Library, 783 Main St., South Windsor. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Come early for best seats. The concert is free; donations are welcome.
