SOUTH WINDSOR - Nominations are now being accepted for the 12th annual Eugene Policelli Service Awards. The South Windsor Board of Education invites you to nominate someone who you believe deserves to be recognized for significantly enhancing the quality of life in South Windsor through his or her voluntary service. The service awards were established by the board of education to recognize and honor Dr. Eugene Policelli’s service to the town of South Windsor. Each year, as many as three citizens and three South Windsor High School seniors may be selected for this honor. Honorees will have their names inscribed on commemorative plaques placed in the main entrance of South Windsor High School. Nomination forms can be picked up at South Windsor’s board of education administrative offices, the high school guidance department, chamber of commerce, the Charles N. Enes Community Center or the public library. The deadline for nomination applications is March 1. Honorees will be selected and notified by March 22. The ceremony recognizing those selected will be held on May 6, at South Windsor High School.
