SUFFIELD - The Pinney Gallery of Suffield’s Kent Memorial Library will feature the show, The World Of Art Through A Child’s Eye, as the Suffield Arts Council presents the work of Juliana McMahon, an 8-year-old third-grader at the John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Windsor. McMahon is the daughter of Patrick McMahon, Suffield’s director of economic and community development. Art is among a great number of activities that keep this young artist busy. She has studio space in her home, which she shares with her mother, father and brother Nicolas. The family encourages her efforts. She was inspired to paint by an aunt and two cousins. Her family travels to places such as Yosemite and Acadia National Parks are reflected in many of the pieces found in this display. An artist’s reception will be held on Thursday evening, Feb. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. The show is on display from Feb. 3 through Feb. 27.
