EAST GRANBY - East Granby Family Resource Center and Allgrove Elementary School is sponsoring, 10 Tools for Creating Cooperative Kids, presented by child behavior specialist, Bill Corbett, on Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. A question and answer period will be held from 8 to 8:30 p.m., at Allgrove Elementary School Gymnasium, 33 Turkey Hills Road, East Granby. Just some of subjects covered will be: what causes power struggles and what to do; conquering hassles such as mealtime, bedtime, etc.; tips for taming the temper tantrums and meltdowns; how to teach children cooperation that sticks; why consequences work better than punishment; and more. This event is free and open to all parents and professionals - anyone who lives or works with children ages 18 months to 18-years-of-age.  Certificates for teachers will be available that night. This is event is for adults.
