Crayons for Cancer
South Windsor - posted Feb, 03 2014
SOUTH WINDSOR - The South Windsor Teen Center Youth Council has taken on the project of collecting Crayons for Cancer. This organization raises funds for kids currently battling cancer and helps ease the financial burdens of families whose children are suffering from the devastating effects of cancer. The goal is to raise money by selling fun and cute shaped crayons to replenish Family Funds and Treasure Chests at children’s hospitals while teaching youth the value of helping others. The crayons are collected, shaved down and then melted into fun shapes to sell. Please bring your crayons, new or used, to the Teen Center which is located in the Charles Enes Community Center, 150 Nevers Road, so that we can help families as they go through this difficult journey. For more information, call Jo-Ann at 860-648-6360.
