MANCHESTER - The Manchester Garden Club is growing more than plants. The club welcomed nine new members since September: Beth Davis, Nancy Donner, Catherine McLarty, Deb Parker, Lauren Pliska, Peter Richard, Rosemary Smith, Angela Tuers and Lisa Turner, all of Manchester. With varied skills and knowledge, and interests from horticulture to floral design and community service, these new members reflect the diversity of the club members. The club supports the community through a variety of projects and activities, including designing, planting and maintaining five town gardens; awarding an annual scholarship; and participating in other town and regional gardening and environmental activities. Speakers at each monthly meeting cover a range of topics including conservation and birds, horticulture, floral artistry. Meetings are monthly on the second Monday of the month at Center Congregational Church, 11 Center St., Manchester. Guests and new members are always welcome. Come to a meeting to connect with other new and experienced gardeners and enjoy a great presentation. For information, visit .
