Allgrove School kindergarten registration

EAST GRANBY - Registration for children who are entering Kindergarten for the 2014-2015 school year will take place at Allgrove School, 33 Turkey Hills Road, on the following dates: Tuesday, Feb. 25, 9 to 11 a.m., and Wednesday, Feb. 26, 9 to 11 a.m., and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The paperwork takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete and needs to be filled out at the school. At the time of registration, there will also be scheduling for a visit for kindergarten orientation that will take place in the spring. It is important that students be registered during the above dates. If you are not able to attend one of the registration dates, please call Donna Mattera at 860-653-2505. Parents need to bring the following required items to school at the time of registration: child’s birth certificate – a full-size original birth certificate is needed. Wallet size cannot be accepted; copy of most recent immunizations; proof of residency (ie. copy of a paid phone bill, electric bill cable bill or signed lease in the parent/guardian name). All certificates and records will be copied at the time of registration. All pupils entering kindergarten must be 5-years-of-age on or before Jan. 1, 2015. Please be advised that pursuant to Section 10-184 of the Connecticut General Statutes, parents are required to register all children whose ages meet this eligibility for kindergarten. If parents choose not to send their child to Allgrove Elementary School during this coming school year, please contact Donna Mattera at 860-653-2505. All registration information must be completed before your child may begin kindergarten. A health examination is required prior to Aug. 18, 2014. Health examination forms are available from the school nurse at the time of registration.
