'Murder in Manchester' free program

MANCHESTER - Manchester Community College Organization of Active Adults (MCCOAA) is presenting a free program: Murder in Manchester. Walter Scadden will present "The Lore, Legend, and Facts of Cheney Brothers silk factory and the murder of William Madden on Jan. 29, 1919." Scadden, who grew up in the shadow of the mills, and whose grandfather was a friend of the brother of the murdered guard, has researched the event for several years and has written a book separating myth from fact. This free program will be presented on Friday, Feb. 21, at Manchester Community College, SBM Auditoriam at 1:30 p.m. The public is invited. There is plenty of parking available in the West Lot (formerly Lot C.)
