Enfield - posted Feb, 10 2014

ENFIELD - The Enfield Historical Society will host, A Photographic Look Back at Enfield, presented by John Zirolli on Monday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m., at the Enfield American Baptist Church, 129 Post Office Road, Enfield. Admission to the program is free and the public is welcome. Freelance newspaper photographer John C. (Charles) Zirolli will take you on a nostalgic look back at Enfield's 1970s and 1980s through his photographs and stories of Enfield's people and places. Born in Thompsonville in 1939, Zirolli resided in Enfield for 45 years. He worked as a freelance newspaper photographer for the last 13 of those years, during which time he photographed anything that might be newsworthy or interesting to newspaper readers. He has an extensive collection of images of Thompsonville before the 1970's urban renewal, as well as photos of many important events that changed our town so much during that time, which he will be sharing with us during this memory-filled program.
